Plant Maintenance Theatre District

The San Francisco Theatre District is consistently one of the most exciting places to be. It encompasses part of the Union Square shopping district and the Tenderloin. The theatre District is a great place to stay if you plan to catch several shows during your visit. It's also centrally located, which makes it easy to get to other top districts around SF. It has been our pleasure at The Plant Escape to serve the plant maintenance theatre district needs of businesses throughout San Francisco.

The Tenderloin is a neighborhood of about 50 square blocks shaped like a large wedge or triangle. You might want to avoid the Tenderloin at night. Some say the naming of this district was a reference to the Tenderloin neighborhood in New York known as the "soft underbelly" (analogous to the cut of meat). The newspaper SF Gate says the neighborhood is repeatedly described in most tourist guides as "the worst neighborhood in San Francisco.”

“The Tenderloin thrives despite its bad rap. Sure, there are loads of drug dealers, addicts, prostitutes, and mentally unstable street people, but if you can get past that, you'll find it is also one of the city's most exciting and diverse locales.”

What is The Plant Escape?

The Plant Escape is owned and operated by Ted and Elizabeth Mark with one mission: To provide superior indoor plants and professional services in a manner that exceeds their clients' expectations. Today, with over 40 years of combined professional experience, The Plant Escape continues to flourish and maintain the company's commitment to excellence.

Without indoor plants, an office would be an unhealthy place to work. When humans breathe, they inhale oxygen and releases carbon dioxide. Photosynthesis in plants absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen. Thus, plants and people are naturally compatible. The addition of plants to indoor spaces will increase oxygen levels.

During the respiratory and photosynthetic process, plants will release moisture vapor, which increases the humidity of the air. Plants will release about 97% of the air they take in. Therefore, proper humidity levels are the best solution for helping respiratory distress.

Indoor Plants Are Great for Our Mental Health

Being near indoor potted plants helps us to de-stress and restock our stores of mental processing power. De-stressing is probably the prominent benefit people think of when talking about houseplants and mental health. Having green plants around helps reduce feelings of anxiety, and they can help lower your blood pressure.

Another aspect of reducing stress is that houseplants can help speed healing or recovery from illness, mainly by creating a relaxing atmosphere and improving the air.

The presence of green leafy plants enhances our creative thinking by helping us stay focused and motivated at the same time.
